Tim Lambesis took to Instagram on Monday (November 4) to release a statement responding to his ex-bandmates in As I Lay Dying, while also sharing his future plans for the group. Bassist Ryan Neff, drummer Nick Pierce, guitarist Ken Susi, and longtime guitarist Phil Sgrosso all recently quit the band, with Sgrosso saying, “As I Lay Dying no longer offers a healthy or safe environment for anyone involved.” Lambesis, who served prison time for attempting to hire a hitman to murder his then wife, says, “I fully support each of the guys’ decisions to leave and believe at this time it is best for everyone,” while also admitting that “Phil and I no longer saw eye to [eye] personally, creatively, or financially.” Lambesis goes on to say “I look forward to building a new team,” while revealing that AILD’s new album, Through Storms Ahead, will be released on November 15.
