Following the success of his MGK Day Charity Weekend in his hometown, Machine Gun Kelly closed out the festivities by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Cleveland Guardians game at Progressive Field on Tuesday night (August 13). The Northern Ohio native took to the pitcher’s mound in torn baggy jeans and a Josh Naylor jersey, but his first pitch never made it to the catcher behind the plate. MGK wound up, and then dashed off the mound and threw the ball high into the stands while the crowd roared their approval. The baseball was eventually tracked down by a fan sporting an MGK t-shirt who excitedly held it up.

Major League Baseball shared a clip of MGK’s unusual first pitch on X, playfully captioning their post, “MGK with a unique first pitch 😂.” MGK took over Cleveland with three days of charitable MGK Day events, including a performance at the MGK Day Block Party on Sunday, where he was joined by Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Jelly Roll, and Tee Grizzle.
